From 1995 to 2016, Nina was a garden writer and contest judge for The Chicago Tribune, and she currently writes for Illinois Landscape Contractor magazine and teaches education classes at their annual conference. The Garden Writers of America (now GardenComm) awarded Nina "Musings of an Everyday Gardener" in The Chicago Tribune's Home & Garden section.
